Corporate Video Production

Your brand is critically important and we love working with brand managers to ensure that the content is on-brand and consistent with your other content.

Your Brand Story – Told Authentically

So you’re looking to get a video made for your corporate brand … but you definitely don’t want a 90’s style corporate video that used to be wheeled out on a VHS tape. We’ve got you.

Telling the story of your business and showing it in an exceptional light is one of our strong suits.

Our unique Q4 Production Method was designed to make this process as easy as we possibly can for you. It has four parts:

1- The Brief Brief

We’ll chat with you or someone from your marketing team over the phone and ask a handful of questions about what you’re looking to do and how you’re planning to use your finished video.

2- The ‘Collection’

Our Crew (usually two people) will pop out to your premises and capture what we need, supported by our Melbourne-based production team. This will usually include an informal chat with some of the key people in your organisation, as well as a collecting a bunch of ‘overlay’ or ‘B-Roll’, aka beautiful pictures of your organisation in action.

3- The ‘Distillation’

We take your footage back to our team of editors, who distil the very best moments into a polished director’s cut for you to review, share, and refine as needed. All footage is handled in-house, with post-production managed from our South Yarra studio.

4- The ‘Bottling’

This is where we take your notes and get it to the perfect condition so that you can share it with the world. We’ll encode and optimise it for whatever platform or purpose you need it to be ready for and we make sure you have everything you need to get it out into the world.

Bring Your Brand to Life

Your organisation is a unique and living thing.

Authentic video is a wonderful way for you to bring your brand to life. Have a look at some of the ways we’ve helped brands come to life. From accounting firms and government brands to exciting and ‘cool’ organisations; video is a terrific way to showcase the culture, the essence of who you really are.

A Production Approach Developed for Busy Executives

Our Q4 Production Method was developed for busy people who aren’t used to being in front of a camera. We avoid scripts and autocue, and prefer people on camera in an authentic and conversational way.

When your people come in, to be on camera, we understand that it’s an unusual environment, so our unique approach is made to make everyone relax. It’s more like a chat with an old friend … rather than someone reading a script in a hostage video.

ANGRYchair have been amazing to work with! Cannot recommend the team more highly. The organisation, shoot days and editing were seamless. The team are responsive, efficient and very talented. Couldn’t be happier with the end result.

Why Choose ANGRYchair?

Life is too short and you’re too busy to waste your time making bad videos.

When it comes to selecting a video production company, we think you should ask: Is the end product excellent? Is the process easy and hopefully fun? And, most importantly, is the process and the output exactly what your brand needs?

We love making content that is perfect for your brand, and above all else, we love making it FOR YOU!  It’s all about you and your brand.

We know lots about video production. We’ve developed a production method in-house that we think marries the best in production techniques, and ‘hacks’ to make it as easy and efficient for you and your team as possible. We call it the Q4 Production Method. It’s simply a way of making refreshingly authentic video content that makes your people and your brand look authentically sensational.

We look after the whole process so you can focus on what you’re good at.

We’d love to chat and see if we can help you get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does the post-production take?

We usually ask you to allow 3-4 weeks for us to edit the video content and get you our ‘directors cut’ to you. [We can do fast turnarounds if required, as they often are for events.] Then as soon as you let us know your thoughts on our edit, we’ll make the changes and get your final videos delivered and ready for you to share within a few days.
In ‘Event Mode’ we’re often delivering drafts, making changes and delivering the final product on the same day or within 48 hours of the event.

  • How many rounds of edit changes in the video production packages?

Most of our clients love our ‘directors cut’ an only need very minor tweaks, so we include two rounds of edit changes in the video production packages. If you’d like additional changes, we’d love to help with that at our edit rate of $200+GST per hour.

  • What happens on the day of filming?

Our crew of two will arrive and meet you then have a quick look around to pick out the best space/spaces for filming. We’ll then set up the required lighting, sound equipment and cameras and be ready to roll! Each time we need to change setups in a location there may need to be some time to move lighting and sound equipment around a little.

  • How many videos can we produce in a full day of filming?

This depends on exactly what you will include in your videos, and what level of production value you require, but if you’re producing a social media video content series using our Q4 Production method, it is possible to produce as many as 10x very simple videos in a full day of filming.

  • What dates do you have available for filming?

You can book in a shoot from our filming availability schedule here, we can help out with other dates that are blocked out including weekends and public holidays if you give us a call or email to discuss.

  • How much does a corporate video typically cost in Melbourne, and what determines the price?
Corporate video budgets in Melbourne, and throughout Australia as a whole, range from approximately $5,000 to well over $100,000. At ANGRYchair, projects usually sit between $7,500 and $30,000, depending on the ambition of your brief. The biggest cost drivers are logistics – particularly filming across multiple Melbourne locations or coordinating shoots across regional Victoria.  Simpler projects with fewer locations will always cost less, while complex, multi-site productions naturally increase the budget.
  • What is the full production timeline from brief to delivery, and can you fast-track projects?
We recommend allowing six to eight weeks to complete your corporate video project. However, we can fast-track any Melbourne-based productions when timelines are tight. The main variables are logistics and the speed of approvals once the Director’s Cut is delivered. If you have a tight deadline, we’ll work with you to map out an efficient production schedule.
  • What deliverables are included at handover for clients (master files, 16:9, 1:1, 9:16, captions, thumbnails)?
    Every ANGRYchair project includes:
    • The finished video files
    • All raw footage
    • Automatically generated, editable captions
    • Any required cut-downs or aspect ratios (16:9, 1:1, 9:16, etc.) outlined in the brief
Deliverables are tailored so your content is ready for your website, social channels, internal platforms, and events.
  • Who owns the final video and raw footage, and how are music and talent licences handled for Melbourne shoots?
Once the project invoice is settled, you own both the finished video and all raw footage. Music is licensed through reputable libraries, giving you full usage rights for your final video (copyright remains with the music rights-holder). Clients are responsible for organising any talent release forms, plus location approvals, artwork clearances, or identifiable brands featured in the video.
  • How do you align with our brand guidelines and manage multi-stakeholder approvals for Melbourne-based teams?

This happens during your Kickoff. Your producer will gather your brand guidelines, understand your audience, clarify objectives, and map out all stakeholders who need to approve the content.

We use the collaborative web platform Frame.io, so both Melbourne-based and remote team members can review the Director’s Cut, leave time-coded comments, and consolidate feedback before revisions.
  • Are you insured, and do you manage Melbourne location permits? What about WHS risk assessments and drone operation licences?
Yes. ANGRYchair is fully insured for all Melbourne-based productions.
    We help clients with:
    • Location permits across greater Melbourne and regional Victoria
    • WHS considerations for all filming environments
    • Drone operations are carried out using the appropriate licences and approvals and in line with CASA regulations.
  • Do you optimise videos for LinkedIn, YouTube, and Meta?

While we don’t specifically specialise in platform optimisation or performance reporting – this is typically handled by a marketing or social media team – we do shape every video using best-practice storytelling techniques.

This ensures your content will perform across all social media platforms, including LinkedIn, YouTube, and Meta, giving your organisation the upper-edge within Melbourne’s competitive business landscape.

  • Do you provide scripting, storyboarding, presenter coaching, and teleprompter support for Melbourne shoots?

Yes. We can provide scripting, storyboarding, coaching, and teleprompter support.

Our preferred approach is authentic, interview-driven storytelling, which is ideal for corporate teams who want a more natural on-camera presence. We find the most effective approach, when working with non-actors, is to guide  people through the key messages conversationally.

However, we can also deliver fully scripted content as required.

  • What is corporate video production?

Corporate video production is really just the creation of videos for business purposes. It’s a really broad term that includes marketing, training, internal communication, client testimonials, event coverage, recruitment, and investor relations. These videos help convey messages, build brands, and engage audiences within the corporate world.
Often a ‘Corporate Video’ is considered an introductory video about an organisation that could be used on an ‘About Us’ page, or to introduce a brand or organisation at a presentation or meeting.
These videos often briefly touch on the core ideas of the business and speak to the big ideas the business is focussing on.
We believe it’s important for corporate videos to be authentic and human-focused to truly convey the culture and personality of the organisation.

  • What are the best practices for corporate video?

There are three critical things to consider when planning to produce a corporate video; who will be watching it, what do you want them to finish the video understanding and how do you want them to feel.
If you begin with these ideas, and focus on the audience of the content, then you’ll be creating impactful content in an area that is often cluttered with jargon and generic messaging.
We encourage organisations to lead with great people who are passionate about the organisation and let them speak about their work, passion and the organisation in their own words. We encourage organisations to avoid over-scripting and simply use conversational interviews, driven by considered key-messaging to be the backbone of your corporate video content.
This approach allows your viewer to really ‘meet’ your people and organisation through a quick video and get a real sense of who you are and what you’re about.

  • What are the three pillars of videography?

    Pre-production, production and post production.

The key pillars of videography are the foundational stages that form the basis for the entire video production process:

    • Pre-Production: This phase involves planning, budgeting, and decision-making. It establishes the blueprint for the video project.
    • Production: During this phase, the creative plans from pre-production are executed. It’s where footage and audio are captured during the shoot.
    • Post-Production: This phase focuses on crafting and polishing the raw materials from production into the final video. It involves editing, refinement, and adding finishing touches.

These pillars are essential because they guide the video production process from the initial concept to the finished product. Each phase is integral to the overall success of the project.

We have a unique approach to these phases which we call our ‘Q4 Production Method’ which has been designed to make the often complex production process even more straightforward for everyone involved.

  • What is a commercial video?

A commercial video is a short, attention-grabbing video promotion created by businesses or organisations to promote products, services, or brands. Its purpose is to convey a clear message and encourage specific actions from viewers, such as making a purchase or visiting a website.

In the past, these were in the form of 30-second television commercials, but today, commercial videos can take any form, from very short 5-second ‘pre-roll’ videos, to extensive videos that provide in-depth insights on the advertised product or service..

Commercial videos are usually visually appealing, brief, and target specific audiences for marketing and advertising purposes.

The most important aspect of a commercial video is that it is ‘on brand’ the organisation it is representing – something that can be really well encapsulated with the right video strategy!

ANGRYchair is a fantastic, customer-focused organisation. I worked with Carla, Matthew & Mikko to produce a series of videos for our consulting firm as part of a marketing campaign. ANGRYchair listened brilliantly to the brief and managed to distil and materialise a complex concept into an engaging and clever set of videos… the entire production process was seamless and easy to interact with. I cannot speak more highly of the ANGRYchair team, the thought they have put into customer experience, and the quality of their work.
