What is involved in filming a testimonial video
We run an informal interview where we ask all about their journey with your brand, and capture footage on site with our Melbourne-based production team. Everything from the pain they were experiencing before they found you, to the adventure of selecting you from the field of competitors, then the journey they have had working with you and your products and services.
Then we love the opportunity to have shots of them ‘in action’. Ideally, some shots of them working with one of your team or of them in action within their day-to-day. We use that vision to ‘colour in’ their story.

Consider creating a ‘look’ or motif for your testimonials to keep them on brand and make them easily identifiable as testimonial videos amongst your other content.

We typically produce testimonial videos within a half-day shoot pack, but the final cost depends on the scope. Key factors include the number of interviews, the locations we need to film at, and crew requirements. You can find our half-day shoot pack pricing on our pricing page. If the project is larger in scale, we’ll tailor the package accordingly.

Do you provide pre-interview coaching and prompts to help clients sound natural on camera?
We usually provide prompts and guidance during the shoot itself rather than formal pre-interview coaching. This helps keep the process efficient and allows people to respond naturally in the moment.

Can you capture testimonials remotely (e.g., Zoom/Riverside) or as voice-only with B-roll if on-camera isn’t possible?
Yes, we can work to different project scopes and production approaches where required. However, the vast majority of our testimonial projects involve interviewing people on camera to help them tell their story in the most authentic and engaging way possible.

Do you supply consent/release forms, and who controls usage rights to the interviewee’s likeness?
We ask our clients to ensure they have permission from everyone appearing in the content. We can provide template release documents if required, but because the client is ultimately publishing the content, responsibility for approvals and permissions sits with them.

What deliverables do we receive for social proof (hero edit, 15–30s cutdowns, captions, thumbnails, transcript)?
Every testimonial project is different, so deliverables are tailored to the brief and agreed during the kickoff process. Depending on the project, this can include hero edits, cutdowns, captions, thumbnails, and transcripts.

Can you film multiple testimonials at an event or across multiple locations in one day, and what are the logistics and travel costs?
Yes. Capturing multiple testimonials at a single event is one of the most efficient ways to produce this kind of content. Travel costs are added where required, although we generally don’t charge additional travel fees within one hour of a capital city.

Do you support accessibility and multilingual outputs (open/closed captions, transcripts, translated subtitles)?
All of our projects include automatically generated captions. If translated subtitles or multilingual outputs are required, we can help facilitate that process, although translation services are not included within our standard packages. Modern AI tools can also be a great starting point for translation workflows.

Do you help with distribution and performance (website placement, LinkedIn/YouTube optimisation, metrics to track)?
Our specialty lies in producing video content that genuinely connects with audiences. We don’t directly manage placement, distribution, or digital performance tracking, but we can introduce you to trusted agencies and marketers who specialise in those areas if needed.
